These were very simple to put together. I was a bit nervous about the low sugar content, as I was afraid they would be too bland.
They baked up absolutely perfect. And the dipping in butter and sugar part was quite fun.
Bottom line: I was wrong. They weren't bland at all. I'd say delicate is a good descriptor. Not overly sweet at all, just right. They aren't heavy...so it might be easy to eat more than one! Nate said they remind him of a Chinese donut. I say they are sugary buttery goodness. And super easy. I think these would be a super breakfast treat for kiddos (and adults).
